Dubai, 30 September 2025 — The United Arab Emirates has announced a brand-new category of visa called the Entertainment Visa, aimed at supporting artists, performers, and professionals traveling to the country for commercial entertainment activities. This move is part of a larger reform of the UAE’s visa system, which also introduces new permits for events, artificial intelligence specialists, and cruise passengers.

The Entertainment Visa is specifically designed for foreign nationals who enter the UAE to take part in performances, concerts, gaming competitions, cultural shows, or other commercial entertainment engagements. Unlike general tourist or business visas, this permit is purpose-built, making it easier for professionals in the entertainment sector to participate legally and smoothly in UAE-based events.
Applicants will typically require sponsorship from a licensed UAE company or event organizer, along with details of the engagement’s nature, duration, and credentials of the professional involved.
