Fake Burj Khalifa Trailer of Hari Hara Veera Mallu Goes Viral, Confirmed to Be Digitally Altered

A viral video claiming to show the trailer of Hari Hara Veera Mallu on Dubai’s Burj Khalifa has been confirmed as fake. The clip was fan-made and shared by a fake account. Producers clarified no such event occurred, urging fans to follow only official channels for updates.

A viral video claiming to show the trailer of the upcoming Telugu film Hari Hara Veera Mallu projected on the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai has been confirmed as fake. The clip, which made rounds across social media platforms, sparked excitement among fans of lead actor Pawan Kalyan, but it turns out the visuals were digitally manipulated and not part of any official promotion.

The video originated from a fan-made source and was initially circulated by a fake social media account that impersonated the film’s official handle. The creators of the film and media outlets have since clarified that there was no trailer screening on the Burj Khalifa, nor any authorized campaign that involved such a display.

Reports indicate that the producers of Hari Hara Veera Mallu had considered hosting a promotional event at the Burj Khalifa as part of their marketing strategy. However, those plans were either shelved or never materialized. This made it easier for unofficial sources to take advantage of the hype and spread fabricated content.

The fabricated trailer clip featured clever editing and overlays that mimicked real projections on the Burj Khalifa, making it initially convincing to many. But closer inspection revealed inconsistencies in the visuals, prompting fact-checking by film reporters and fans alike.

This incident highlights the growing trend of misinformation and fan-driven hype in the digital space, especially around big-budget films. While fan enthusiasm is appreciated, misleading content like this can create confusion and damage the credibility of official promotional efforts.

As the official release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu approaches on July 24, the film team is focusing on authentic marketing activities. One major confirmed event is the pre-release celebration set to take place in Vizag on July 20, where fans will get to see new promotional material and hear directly from the cast and crew.

In the meantime, the team has requested fans and followers to rely only on updates from the verified accounts of the production house and film team.
