The UAE is expected to witness a hot and dusty weekend with temperatures reaching 42°C in inland regions. Strong winds, hazy conditions, and blowing dust are forecast across several parts of the country through Monday.
Residents across the UAE are set to experience another hot and dusty weekend, with temperatures soaring up to 42°C in some inland areas, according to the latest forecast issued by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Weather conditions are expected to remain mostly fair, although strong winds and dusty conditions may affect visibility in open regions over the coming days.
The NCM stated that Friday will witness generally clear to partly fair skies across the country. However, northwesterly to southwesterly winds are expected to become active during the daytime, particularly in exposed areas. Wind speeds are likely to range between 10 and 25 km/h, while gusts may reach up to 40 km/h, increasing the chances of blowing dust and sand in certain regions.
Temperatures are forecast to remain significantly high, especially in inland parts of the UAE. Cities such as Al Ain and Liwa are expected to record highs of 42°C, while Abu Dhabi could reach around 38°C and Dubai approximately 36°C. Meteorologists have also warned that humidity levels may rise overnight and into Saturday morning, especially in coastal locations, leading to relatively uncomfortable conditions during early hours.
According to the forecast, weather conditions will remain largely stable through the weekend, though hazy skies are expected to develop gradually from Sunday onward. A slight drop in temperatures is anticipated, particularly in western parts of the country. Despite the marginal decrease, warm conditions are likely to continue during daytime hours.
By Sunday, stronger winds are expected to sweep across parts of the UAE, with gusts potentially touching 40 km/h. These weather patterns may trigger blowing dust and sand, especially in desert and open areas. The Arabian Gulf is also forecast to experience moderate to rough sea conditions, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight to moderate before turning rough by Monday evening.
The NCM further indicated that Monday will bring another slight decline in temperatures under generally fair yet hazy skies. Fresh winds may continue to stir dust across several areas, keeping conditions challenging for motorists and residents sensitive to airborne particles.
Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious while driving in dusty conditions and to stay hydrated during periods of intense heat as summer-like weather continues to intensify across the UAE.
